Stuffed Shells or Manicotti Shells by yours truly

Did I tell you I like to cook? Well let me tell you again! I love to cook. Absolutely love it! L-O-V-E!

I’ve actually made this dish a few times. Each time it has been made with different ingredients. Unfortunately this time around, I forgot to add the egg. Wouldn’t be the first time I forgot to add egg, but I personally prefer the egg to be in the mix. It’s still yummy though. I like to use:

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. You will cook for 20 to 25 minutes
1. One full size jar of Marinara/Spaghetti Sauce 2. One Medium/Large jar of Ricotta Cheese at room temperature 3. Saute Spinach, Garlic, and any other vegetable you care to add. (I’ve added mushrooms and onions before.) 4. One pack of Lean Ground Turkey, be sure to season and cook well before mixing with other ingredients. 5. One box of Manicotti Shells fully cooked. 6. One pack of Shredded Parmesan cheese to sprinkle on top. 7. One medium egg would be great in this mix, but remember I forgot to add so you wont see it in my pics)That should be everything. Cook meat and seasoning separate. In separate bowl place room temperature Ricotta Chesse, One egg, sautéed ingredients, and cooked meat into a bowl and mix well. The ricotta should be smooth, meat evenly dispersed in the mixture and egg mixed in well.

Prepare pans by covering bottom with marinara/spaghetti sauce. On a plate/cutting board tear one side of the fully cooked manicotti shell open and take a 2-3 table spoon amount of your mixture and roll the shell neatly around the mixture. place the stuffed shell into your sauced pan, repeat until finish. Of course pictures are included. It’s ok if the shells tear while cooking in the boiling water. I have used torn shells before to complete this dish. If you have any questions about possible recipes or preparing the recipe I’ve included please don’t hesitate to comment. I’ll be sure to get back with you.

Hope this was helpful,

Organic Handmade Soap that you’ve got to see for yourself

Hey guys and gals! I like unique products and I have a product line I want to recommend to you. I actually found this company on, what else but………(singing) INSTAGRAM! See I told you, you can find anything on Instagram! Ok so the name of this product line is CreamandCoCo. Black owned-Woman ran-Company. So I’m extra excited to promote this! Customer Service was exceptional! Received my product before expected due date and the products are way better than I could have imagined. I haven’t tried her other products such as body wash, shampoo, toothpaste, hair products, etc. but if the quality is anything like the Artesian Soap Box I’m sure she’ll have a life long customer. Here’s my review. I chose to purchase the Artesian Soap Box to pass out for Christmas presents to my family and in particular my brother because he has really dry skin. She makes the soaps out of her home. If you would like to see for yourself I highly recommend you follow the product line on Instagram @creamandcoco. She posts several pictures of her choosing ingredients, making the ingredients, shipping, & any detail you would want to see; which is why I was convinced I needed to try this for myself.

I received the Artesian Soap Box within 2-3 days of placing my order; it came in a pretty red box and the soaps are wrapped individually in tissue paper with the labels on them so that you know what soap you are using. She has over 8 different categories of soaps, not to mention several different “flavors” under each category. I paid like $23 or $24 for the 2lb sample box, which was a holiday special. In the box there were 15 different soaps which were in trial sizes so maybe 1/2 the actual size of a full soap bar. The box was humming in beautiful fragrance. I used one bar already and it was wonderful on my skin. I’m on my 2nd bar of soap and it’s the Hawaiian Volcano “flavor”. This bar is soooo smooth, lathers well, and doesn’t have a heavy smell to it. I’m really enjoying it! I have two more bars of soap left; the “Berry Mudslide” and the “Grasshopper”. Descriptions of ingredients and it’s benefits are found on the website. I believe most of her products can be tested in trial sizes and trial prices before you commit to a full size product. Please check out her website at www.creamandcoco.com I think you will really appreciate the level of professionalism and quality that she puts into every product.

I would love to hear your own experiences with this line or any other handmade beauty product. I appreciate unique things.

Welcome to my site

Hey yall! I’m so excited to finally be posting and attaching my favorite things and some of my not-so-favorite things. I’ve been wanting to start this blog for a very long time and no matter what, even if no one reads this, I’ll continue on because I just have so much to say. So much to share.

Hopefully I can be helpful to some, confirmation for others and provoke thinking to those that dont. Just to clue to you in on me; I do a lot of reading, eating, haircare, possibly some beautification, I read the news a lot, and I’m going back to school for my Doctoral degree by 2014. I’ll probably post daily or at least weekly. You can go ahead and add me to your favorite’s toolbar because I’m here to stay bay-bee! I just want to talk 😀
